The practice of ‘branding’ book pages to denote ownership conveys something different than an inscription or a dedication page. These markings, instead, are a deliberate indication that something is ‘ours,’ made to document the provenance of the object as it passes through time.

An ongoing installation of discarded books, covers removed, creating an analog stack. The books become a metaphor for memory and information recall – the last item stored is the first item retrieved.
